Beaver Lake State Park is a public recreation area located in Logan County, North Dakota, about equidistant from Napoleon and Wishek. The state park occupies 273 acres (110 ha) of land on the western shore of 968-acre (392 ha) Beaver Lake [ 4 ] and offers hiking, boating, swimming, fishing, cabins, and campground.

Grahams Island State Park is a public recreation area in North Dakota occupying 959 acres (388 ha) on the eastern flank of Grahams Island in Devils Lake.At one time there were four recreational units on the lake, collectively known as Devils Lake State Parks, but rising water caused three units to be closed, leaving only Grahams Island State Park in operation.
The park offers hiking, swimming, fishing, boat ramps, marina, cabins, and campgrounds. The park's hiking trails include the western terminus of the 4,600-mile (7,400 km) North Country National Scenic Trail which, when completed, will cross the northern tier of the continental United States from its eastern terminus at Crown Point in upstate New York.
The smaller North Unit is situated about 80 mi (130 km) north of the South Unit, and Roosevelt's Elkhorn Ranch is located between the North and South units. Both main units of the park have scenic drives, approximately 100 miles (160 km) of foot and horse trails, wildlife viewing, and back country hiking and camping.
