1992 – First known port of SPICE (3E2) to Linux. [2] 1998 – SwitcherCAD released internally at Linear Technology. [2] 1999 – SwitcherCAD III released to public. [2] It ran on Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, NT4.0, 2K, XP. 2008 – LTspice IV released. [2] It ran on Windows 2K, XP, Vista, 7. A native macOS 10.7+ application was introduced in 2013.
Xspice [6] is an extension to Spice3 that provides additional C language code models to support analog behavioral modeling and co-simulation of digital components through a fast event-driven algorithm. Cider [7] adds a numerical device simulator to ngspice. It couples the circuit-level simulator to the device simulator to provide enhanced ...
BSIM4, [6] a more modern MOSFET model, also from UC Berkeley. PSP, [7] [8] another MOSFET model. PSP originally stood for Penn State-Philips, but one author moved to ASU, and Philips spun off their semiconductor group as NXP Semiconductors. PSP is now developed and supported at CEA-Leti. BSIMSOI, [9] a model for silicon on insulator MOSFETs.
LTspice is a SPICE-based analog electronic circuit simulator computer software, produced by semiconductor manufacturer Analog Devices (originally by Linear Technology). [2] It is the most widely distributed and used SPICE software in the industry. [6]
