Talladega (/ ˌ t æ l ə ˈ d ɪ ɡ ə /, also / ˌ t æ l ə ˈ d eɪ ɡ ə /) [4] is the county seat of Talladega County, Alabama, [5] United States. It was incorporated in 1835. [6] At the 2020 census, the population was 15,861. Talladega is approximately 50 miles (80 km) east of one of the state's largest cities, Birmingham.
State Route 148 (SR 148) is a 20.025-mile (32.227 km) state highway that serves as an east–west connector between Sylacauga and Millersville through Clay and Talladega counties. SR 148 intersects SR 21 at its western terminus and SR 9 at its eastern terminus.
Eastaboga is located in the northern part of Talladega County on the border with Calhoun County. The city is located along U.S. Route 78 about 2 mi (3.2 km) north of Interstate 20, which runs west to east south of the community, with access from exit 173. Via I-20, Birmingham is 51 mi (82 km) west, and Atlanta is 100 mi (160 km) east.
