Take Shelter is a 2011 American psychological thriller film written and directed by Jeff Nichols and starring Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain.The plot follows a young husband and father (Shannon) who is plagued by a series of apocalyptic visions, and questions whether to shelter his family from a coming storm, or from himself and his increasing worries over having paranoid schizophrenia.
"Take Shelter" was released as the album's second single on 18 August 2014 and peaked at number 140 on the UK Singles Chart. "Desire" was released on 23 November 2014 as the album's third single and peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart. [7] "King" was released as the album's fourth single on 27 February 2015.

Jeff Nichols (born December 7, 1978) is an American film director and screenwriter. His films are characterized by their Southern United States backdrop and ambience. He is also known for his longstanding collaboration with actor Michael Shannon, who has appeared in all of his feature films to date.
In 2011, Shannon starred in the drama film Take Shelter. He received rave reviews for his performance, [23] [24] and a Saturn Award for Best Actor. [25] In 2012, he played a corrupt cop in the film Premium Rush, written and directed by David Koepp, [26] and appeared on Broadway along with Paul Rudd and Ed Asner in Grace written by Craig Wright.
