Salesman Daffy tries to make a pitch to reclusive millionaire and "ailing buzzsaw baron" J.P. Cubish – a dog who has offered wealth to anyone who can make him laugh before he passes on. Daffy becomes his jester, taking uncounted pies in the face while Cubish laughs. After Cubish "dies laughing", Daffy inherits his fortune.
Intimidatingly, Daffy maneuvers Elmer into a boxing ring which is surrounded by many duck spectators. The burly referee of the fight is also a duck, named Ducky Wheeze. He struggles to stop laughing at pathetic Elmer long enough to introduce him; when he finally does, Elmer stands up and meekly says, "Hewwo".

Daffy Duck, a struggling novelty salesman, learns that tycoon J.B. Cubish will pay $1 million to anyone who can make him laugh before he dies. Desperate for the reward, Daffy tries various comical schemes to enter Cubish's mansion, but is thwarted by the butler.
Porky then takes Daffy with him to another room, and proceeds to beat him senseless. After this, he hurriedly runs into Schlesinger's office to beg for his job back. Schlesinger, laughing heartily and saying "I knew you'd be back!", reveals that he didn't really rip up Porky's contract, and happily tells him to get back to work.
Amidst this chaos, Daffy Duck sings "Don't Sweetheart Me" by Lawrence Welk. Elmer's antics continue as he tries to shoot Daffy, but he complains that he is now henpecked due to being forced into marriage and becoming the father of many ducklings, including a two-headed one, the last time he was shot. He then traps Elmer in his own hat.
Yankee Doodle Daffy is a Warner Bros. Looney Tunes theatrical cartoon short released on June 5, 1943, [2] [3] directed by Friz Freleng and written by Tedd Pierce. The short was the second Technicolor Looney Tunes entry to feature Porky Pig and Daffy Duck (after My Favorite Duck ). [ 4 ]
