Oxfordshire has nearly 18,000 ha (44,000 acres) of woodland in total (6.9% of its area), two-thirds of which are in woods of over 10 ha (25 acres). 1,839 ha (4,540 acres) of woodland is represented in the 17 ancient woods listed below.
