The role was originated on General Hospital in March 27, 1992, as portrayed by Cari Shayne, who left the series on March 30, 1994. Shayne briefly returned from September 29 to October 5, 1995. In June 1997, the character returned as part of the cast of spin-off series, Port Charles, as portrayed by Jennifer Hammon.
