Easton Archery, formally Jas. D. Easton, Inc., is an American archery equipment company that has existed since 1953. The company was started by James Douglas "Doug" Easton (1907–1972), who had made bows and arrows since 1922, and who in 1932 opened Easton's Archery Shop in Los Angeles.
Easton worked for the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1959 to 1964. [5] In the late 1960s, Easton joined his father's company, Jas. D. Easton, where they, along with brother Bob Easton, developed the first aluminum ski poles, followed by the first aluminum baseball bats. [5] Both sports equipment items had previously been wooden.
