Eel Weir State Park is a 16-acre (0.065 km 2) state park in St. Lawrence County, New York. [2] The park is located in the St. Lawrence Valley on the Oswegatchie River approximately two miles (3.2 km) from Black Lake and approximately eight miles (13 km) southwest of Ogdensburg .
Black Lake is located in the northern part of New York in the United States and is the largest lake in Saint Lawrence County. The lake is south of the Saint Lawrence River and parallels the river for many miles. Black Lake is of glacial origin, having been formed by the melting of continental glaciation in the state around 12,000 years ago.
Kayuta Lake is located northwest of Bardwell Mill, New York. Kayuta Lake Campground is located by the Black River inlet. Fish species present in the lake are smallmouth bass, pickerel, white sucker, rock bass, yellow perch, bluegill, and black bullhead. There is a carry down access on the north shore located on State Dam Road. [4]
The lake offers shore fishing, and there is a carry-down launch on the east shore on Massawepie Road with permission from the Massawepie Scout Camp. Public use is prohibited from June to August.
