The Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center (WSC) serves as the main center on Brigham Young University (BYU) Campus. It was originally called the Ernest L. Wilkinson Center but was renamed to its current name at its re-dedication by Gordon B. Hinckley in 1999 after the building had been extensively renovated. It is known by students as "The Wilk".
Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School is located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. It is a part of the Orangeburg County School District. It is home to the Mighty Bruins/Bruinettes and also an International Baccalaureate World School .

European settlement in this area started in 1704 when George Sterling set up a post here for fur trade with Native Americans. To encourage settlement, the General Assembly of the Province of South Carolina in 1730 organized the area as a township, naming it Orangeburg for William IV, Prince of Orange, the son-in-law of King George II of Great Britain.
Wilkinson is situated on the junction of Farm to Market Roads 71 and 1402. It was settled in the 1870s, and was previously named New Bethlehem and Pad's Chapel , for settler Pad Harris. A post office operated from 1888 to 1914, and was named Wilkinson, after a local family.
The house was later home to Wilkinson's daughter and her husband David Martin, who twice served as mayor of Pulaski while living in the home. [2] The house remained in one family for 130 years. [3] The Wilkinson family was one of the earliest white settler families in Giles County, having moved there in 1809, the year the county was established.
