Rush is the soundtrack to the film of the same name, released on September 10, 2013. The soundtrack features a musical score composed by Hans Zimmer , plus five classic rock songs by Dave Edmunds , Steve Winwood , Mud , Thin Lizzy , and David Bowie .
The album was remastered and re-released on vinyl in April 2014 as part of a box set to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The 2014 vinyl version included a replica of the original Moon Records label on the LP. Rush was remastered for vinyl in 2015 as a part of the official "12 Months of Rush" promotion. [19]
The Moving Pictures portion of the concert was released on vinyl and digitally under the title Moving Pictures: Live 2011. In Canada in 2023 and 2024, the film was carried on Hollywood Suite under the title, Rush: Time Machine Tour. [7] The album was nominated for a Juno Award in the "Music DVD of the Year" category. [8]
