Some of these regions may overlap, such as West Midtown , an area which includes several neighborhoods on the west side of the larger Midtown area.
Most of these are clustered around Peachtree Street in the Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead neighborhoods, with the suburban city of Sandy Springs also being the site of several skyscrapers. The tallest building in Atlanta is the 55-story Bank of America Plaza, which rises 1,023 feet (312 m) and was completed in 1992. [1]
Midtown, situated between Downtown to the south and Buckhead to the north, is the second-largest business district in Metro Atlanta. In 2011, Midtown had a resident population of 41,681 and a business population of 81,418.
