The park consists of the former city-owned St. Aubin Park and Marina and an adjacent reclaimed brownfield. The park area was taken over by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in 2004 as Tri-Centennial State Park to commemorate the founding of Fort Detroit in 1701. It was Michigan's first state park to be situated in an urban area.
The McKinley Marina is the only public marina in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Lake Michigan. Grand Lake is a substantial lake of approximately 7 miles (11 km) in length and up to 1.5 miles (2.4 km) in width. The lake is on the boundary between Presque Isle Township to the east and Krakow Township to the west, approximately 15 miles (24 km) north of Alpena on U.S. Highway 23 , which passes to the south and west of the lake.
Burt Lake State Park is a public recreation area covering approximately 125 acres (51 ha) on the south shore of Burt Lake at Indian River in Cheboygan County, Michigan.The state park features 2,000 feet (610 m) of sandy shoreline, swimming, boating access to the Inland Lakes Waterway, fishing on the Sturgeon River and Burt Lake, and camping facilities.
