Chadwicks Wexford Park is a GAA stadium in Wexford, County Wexford, Republic of Ireland. It is the home of Wexford GAA's Gaelic football and hurling teams. After a recent development the ground has a capacity of about 18,000. [2] It is located in the Clonard area on the outskirts of Wexford Town.
The first stage of the development was unveiled in 2008. In 2012, planning permission was granted for works to complete the main playing pitch in the "centre of excellence," with a seated spectator stand. [6] It began to host inter-county games in 2017. [7] A new 800-seater stand, costing €1.2 million, was added in 2022.
Under a Royal Assent in 1846, permission was given to make alterations and repairs to the harbour, including the removal of the Ballast Bank. By 1852, some of the reclamation work had been completed. Following a public meeting to review the impact of that work, the 1846 Wexford Harbour Improvement Act was repealed.
