29th Street is a 1991 American comedy-drama film written and directed by George Gallo and starring Danny Aiello, Anthony LaPaglia, and Lainie Kazan. It was adapted from a story by Frank Pesce and James Franciscus (who had both co-starred in the cult thriller Killer Fish ).

Frank Pesce, a character actor who appeared in the first two “Beverly Hills Cop” movies, “Top Gun,” “Midnight Run” and “Miami Vice,” died on Feb. 6 due to dementia complications.
Pesce started his film career as an extra in The Godfather Part II, [3] and got his first credited role in 1976, in an episode of the television series Police Story. [4] He guest-starred a large number of well-known TV-series, including Knight Rider, Kojak and Matlock, and was a busy character actor in films, notably appearing in Rocky, Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop and Flashdance.
