The 2023–24 Morehead State Eagles men's basketball team represented Morehead State University in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.The Eagles, led by seventh-year head coach Preston Spradlin, played their home games at Ellis Johnson Arena in Morehead, Kentucky as members of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC).
The Eagles finished the 2023–24 season 26–9, 14–4 in OVC play, to finish in a three-way tie for first place. [1] In the OVC tournament, they defeated SIU Edwardsville in the quarterfinals, [2] UT Martin in the semifinals, [3] advancing to the championship game, where they defeated top-seeded Little Rock, earning the Eagles their first trip to the NCAA tournament since 2021. MSUM has a wide variety of intramural sports including flag football, softball, and soccer. Club teams are also available for men's and women's rugby, men's and women's lacrosse, and baseball which compete nationally. MSU Moorhead also has a club ice hockey team, which began play in the 2018–2019 season.
