By 1926, the Hammacher Schlemmer had moved uptown to a larger space at the company's present location of East 57th Street. The First Printed Catalog, 1881. Hammacher resigned in 1892, leaving the whole company to Schlemmer serving as the President and Treasurer and his son William F. Schlemmer, to be named Vice President several years later.
