Edwards Run and Pond are also stocked with trout February through March and in October. The stream on the WMA is a designated catch and release trout stream. A primitive camping area is in proximity to Edwards Pond and pit toilets and trash receptacles are provided. A nominal camping fee is charged by the WVDNR.
The middle and lower portion of this very scenic waterway is suitable for paddling mostly in the spring or after heavy rains. Dillons Run is stocked with rainbow and brook trout from the Dillons Run Road (County Route 50/25) bridge upstream three miles to Millbrook. This portion of the stream is situated approximately six miles southeast of Capon Bridge.
Second Creek is an excellent trout stream although the native brook trout is in greatly reduced numbers compared to the brown trout and rainbow trout recently introduced. Rodgers Mill is a fly fishing only site. Second Creek is stocked every April. Fly anglers can access the waters using County Route 219/3 and County Route 3/7 from US Route 219.
