The Connecticut Air & Space Center is an aviation museum located near Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford, Connecticut, that is focused on the history of aviation in Connecticut. Founded by George Gunther in 1998 after the closing of the Stratford Army Engine Plant , it occupied buildings 6 and 53 of the complex from 2001 until 2022.
In 1981, the first current building was built after a tornado destroyed the then Bradley Air Museum's previous outdoor location along Route 75 in 1979. The museum has since added a restoration hangar in 1989, a storage building in 1991, a military hangar in 1992, a 58th Bomb Wing Hangar in 2003, and a storage hangar in 2010. [8]
The museum changed its name to the Warner Museum of Aviation and Transportation after receiving a donation from Jim Warner of the Warner Group in 2007 that made up the difference. [12] It broke ground on a new 30,000 sq ft (2,800 m 2 ) building at the Sioux Gateway Airport in April 2009.

The Stratford Eagles Composite Squadron is a member group of the non-profit and all-volunteer Connecticut Wing Civil Air Patrol, which is an official auxiliary of the United States Air Force, carrying the designation NER-CT-022.
