Lieutenant-General Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell, OM, GCMG, GCVO, KCB, KStJ, DL (/ ˈ b eɪ d ən ˈ p oʊ əl / BAY-dən POH-əl; [3] 22 February 1857 – 8 January 1941) was a British Army officer, writer, founder of The Boy Scouts Association and its first Chief Scout, and founder, with his sister Agnes, of The Girl Guides Association.

Heather Baden-Powell King (1 June 1915 – 21 May 1986) was the second child of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell. She was her father's private secretary from the 1930s until his death in 1941. [ 1 ] She published Baden-Powell: A Family Album in 1986.

The sculpture of the Roman travertine is 3.5 meters high with a base approximately 11 tons and was made by the sculptor Lucien Wercollier from Luxembourg.
