John A. Finch Arboretum 56.65 acres (22.93 ha) is a public arboretum located at West 3404 Woodland Boulevard, Spokane, Washington, United States in the West Hills neighborhood. It is open daily without charge. Dogs are not allowed at the arboretum. [1]
At the north end of Riverfront Park is the 12,000 seat Spokane Arena, home to the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club and Spokane Shock Arena Football Club. In addition to numerous local and regional events, the Arena hosts events such as NCAA March Madness, numerous big-name concerts, and in 2007 and 2010, the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
It was built in 1912, and designed by Kirtland Cutter, in a 17th-century-inspired "black and white" Tudor style. Spokane attorney Richard Nuzum purchased the house in 1916 and lived there with his wife, Jessie, for three decades. [2]
