Reboot all your machines on the network. Add the NDI sources back to your scenes. NDI should interrogate the network to rediscover the NDI clients and list them in the Source name drop down. On the NDI server, by default NDI will list the main output name in the drop down - avoid choosing that.
I still have to use NDI between the VTuber machine (runs VTube Studio and Remasuri3's Twitch Interactive Throwing System, and OBS to composite them together) as I need the alpha channel support. There are some issues here, but they're minor compared to the above. Also, here are some other details: OBS Studio 29.0.0.
Has this been resolved yet? i have the EXACT same issue. Ive had NDI working perfectly in the past, but after moving i set it all up again and im stuck with a black screen on the streaming pc end- though i can see the source and select it, no video/audio. the only thing i can think of is that i have a new internet provider... but ive gone through the firewall settings and cant find any issues
However all three cameras (and the two spares) show in NDI TOOLS studio monitor. Running NDI 5 and OBS 27.1.3. also have the PTZ obs controller doc install and even though there is not video can still control that camera's Pan/tilt/zoom.. any idea where to start trouble shooting this issue. The log file I attached is from today's testing
ahh OK.. sadly i dont think they make NDI Tools for linux though ? my plan is to send NDI out of OBS on a RPi 5 to a computer running windows.. i could maybe do the transcode at windows computer but ideally id like NDI HX to be the output from the Pi to reduce the network bandwidth... if i cant use WiFi reliably though then maybe i can manage with the full bandwidth NDI..

The second PC obs ndi source is able to list all of the devices from the network: "current" pc and my android app. "Current" PC and 2nd PC versions (on both pc I've installed same versions of each software and plugins): OBS: 29.1.3 OBS-NDI plugin: 4.11.1 NDI Runtime: 5.5.3 Windows: 11 updated as of today (2023-09-06)
