They are NOT worth the asking price either £29.99. Using cheap metal in manufacturing. These are cheaply made in China, laser etched with the Huusk Japan name and then sold on for a premium. You can get the same knives from Aliexpress for half the price although shipping is much slower.
It's a total scam. As far as I can see there is no Japanese connection to these knives. So they're not Japanese and they're not premium. But if anyone thinks a traditional Japanese blacksmith will sell something they made for less than about $300, you're nuts. That said, I did the dumb. Drinking and online shopping should be a crime, btw.
Screenshot. Originating from an age-old tradition of blade-making, Huusk Knives are a modern incarnation of these historic techniques, embodying both beauty and functionality. Let's explore the evolution of these knives from their humble beginnings to their current status as a culinary staple. 100% Crap.

Huusk Knives scam. Don’t buy from this pyramid scheme company. Worst customer service ever and I’m pretty sure the tracking information is all fake. The company will do anything possible to steal your money. Can't speak to their business side of things but the product is a scam in and of itself.
Knife scammers/crappy knife sellers have a knack for pushing their wares through social media. On Instagram after all the "attractive ladies" who continually send me messages and follow me knives are next on the list. Because I follow some of the decent knife makers who are on BCUSA apparently that means I want to buy crappy Damascus knives too.
That said, it’s pretty cheap steel. We use a honing rod pretty often and I hit the huusk knives with it about once a day. The edge retention isn’t as bad as others here are saying, you won’t have to sharpen it after every single tomato, but it will require knowledge of knife sharpening and pretty consistent upkeep.
No. They're trash. 5. Reply. helix711. • 2 mo. ago. My favorite YouTuber, Pete at Cedric & Ada Gesr and Outdoors, has done a series of reviews on Huusk knives. They’re quite entertaining and revealing. Although the model your dad got you may be a different one than Pete reviewed, as I’ve seen they’ve recently released some new models ...
This is my go-to everyday knife and it has actually been quite helpful for me when it comes to preparing simple dishes. The hole on the handle has definitely made it easier for me to grip and control while slicing.
Knife snobs turn up their noses at perfectly serviceable 1.4116 or 420HC, but those are still actually usable knife steels. The steel in the original Huusk knives is really really bad at being a knife steel. Now, the knife you have could be a Huusk, or it could be an AliExpress knock-off of a Huusk (possibly resold on Amazon).
