Duncan was an Australian law lecturer at the University of Adelaide who drowned after being thrown into the River Torrens by a group of men believed to be police officers. Around 11.00 p.m. on 10 May 1972, Duncan and Roger James were both thrown into the river and Duncan drowned. [ 23 ]
