I have had numberous problems with my various Aqua Views (2 Jrs., 2 Z 60, and now the original that still works well) but they have always fixed the problem without charging me other than 1 way shipping.
Bmc- I had the oppertunity to use a prototype of the new Aqua-Vu Scout this summer at an Aqua-Vu sales meeting on Lake Mille Lacs. I used it for 2 days, and also had my Aqua Vu MC2X in the boat so I could use them side by side. During the day light hours I could tell no diffference, EXCEPT that the Scout was easier to use.
Have 5 year old Aqua View VS model. Must have wiring loose in the camera. Has anybody tried to pull the camera out of the rubber housing to try to fix wiring?
Can anybody tell me where I can get some work done on my aqua view? Some how water got into the camera it self and they say they ae totally water proof whats up with that? any info would be good? P.S I took it to Fish-Letronics the said I would have to send it right back to Aqua View???? ThanksBi...
I shelved the fishfinder project in favor of underwater cameras.I'v enarrowed down my choices to Aqua Vu and Marcum.To be specific, I've narrowed it down to Aqua-VU Scout XL 50 priced at $210 at Cabela's and the MarCum VS 380 Underwater Camera priced at $250 at Cabelas.

A friend of mines Aqua-Vu camera cable has an intermittent open/short in the cable somewhere within a couple inches of the camera end. On most electrical equipment it's easy to tear apart and remove the damaged cable portion and re-do the electrical connections. I've pulled the clamps and removed...

Many times we can trouble-shoot problems over the phone, but if water has entered the camera housing on any units - we urge you to call us for assistance in replacing the camera.
We dropped an aqua view where we had our house and were surprised to see loads and loads of zebra mussels on the rocks. We also only marked 1 fish all evening although we did catch 2 walleyes. Typically, we see many fish on the vexilar on this spot and usually do pretty well early in the season but not today.
Depending on what type of aqua view you have, you may notice different experiences using it. If your boat is going to be moving then the MAV systems is the best, (foot controlled aqua view) If your going to be scouting around during winter or even summer, the little scout or scout 2 works very well.
