The first translation of the Kural text into Hindi was probably made by Khenand Rakat, who published the translated work in 1924. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Khan Chand Rahit published a translation in 1926. [ 3 ] In 1958, the University of Madras published a translation by Sankar Raju Naidu under the title "Tamil Ved."

Cadastral surveying is the sub-field of cadastre and surveying that specialises in the establishment and re-establishment of real property boundaries. It involves the physical delineation of property boundaries and determination of dimensions, areas and certain rights associated with properties.
It is also used in surveying, to establish the nadir (opposite of zenith) with respect to gravity of a point in space. It is used with a variety of instruments (including levels , theodolites , and steel tapes ) to set the instrument exactly over a fixed survey marker or to transcribe positions onto the ground for placing a marker.
The Survey of India is India's central engineering agency in charge of mapping and surveying. [3] Set up in 1767 [4] to help consolidate the territories of the British East India Company, it is one of the oldest Engineering Departments of the Government of India. Its members are from Survey of India Service cadre of Civil Services of India.
