Southern Cross University (SCU) is an Australian public university, with campuses at Lismore and Coffs Harbour in northern New South Wales, and at Coolangatta, the most southern suburb of the Gold Coast in Queensland. In 2019, it was ranked in the top 100 young universities in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Jerry Vanclay is currently the professor of sustainable forestry in the School of Environment, Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University and served as and dean of science and head of school for 11 years. [1] Vanclay received a doctorate (D.Sc.For.) from the University of Queensland in 1992.

The Coffs Harbour Education Campus [3] is a partnership between the Southern Cross University, TAFE NSW and the NSW Department of Education. The comprehensive joint facility offers enrolment in articulated education and training programmes of each of the partners, ranging from Year 11 to postgraduate level.

Alphacrucis University College (AC, formerly Commonwealth Bible College and Southern Cross College) is a tertiary Christian liberal arts college.In addition to being the largest self-accrediting Christian liberal arts College in Australia, it is the official training college of Australian Christian Churches, the Assemblies of God in Australia.
Originally a collaboration between the University of New England and Southern Cross University, it took its first students in 2002. The centre was funded from the Government of Australia's Centenary of Federation Fund. The Centre became solely managed through Southern Cross University in 2010.
