BoDeans is an American rock band formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin who came to prominence in the 1980s. In January 1987, a Rolling Stone reader poll voted BoDeans the Best New American Band. [9] [10] BoDeans has a permanent installation at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. [11]
BoDeans took some time off in the late 1990s so Neumann and Llanas could record solo albums. Llanas founded Absinthe, with the help of Milwaukee musicians Jim Eannelli (guitars and bass) and Guy Hoffman (formerly of Oil Tasters and Violent Femmes, currently of Radio Romeo). They have released one album, 1998's A Good Day To Die.

Outside Looking In is the BoDeans second studio album, and was released in 1987. It was produced by Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads . It reached number 86 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Home is the BoDeans' third studio album, and was released in 1989. It peaked at number 94 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album's sixth track, "You Don't Get Much" appears in the 1989 movie The Wizard during the opening scene.
