Dominick Labino (December 4, 1910 – January 10, 1987) was an American internationally known scientist, inventor, artist and master craftsman in glass. Labino's art works in glass are in the permanent collections of more than 100 museums throughout the world. Labino held over 60 glass-oriented patents in the United States. [1]
The original factory was in an old glass factory in Martins Ferry, Ohio, in 1905. [1] The factory at one time was owned by the former West Virginia Glass Company. [2] At first they painted glass blanks from other glass makers, but started making their own glass when they became unable to buy the materials they needed. [2]

Richard Harned (born 1951) is an American contemporary kinetic sculptor and glass artist. Harned trained under Dale Chihuly in the 1970s at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with other artists of the American Glass Movement, including Bruce Chao and Tom Kreager. In 1974, he established the Abstract Glass studio in Providence, Rhode Island.
The main office started at South 9th and Bingham Streets, Pittsburgh, PA, in the former Ripley Glass facility, and moved to Tiffin in 1938. [1] Over time, the factories closed until only the Tiffin plant survived. The company went bankrupt in 1963, with the Tiffin plant reorganizing as the "Tiffin Art Glass Company". [2]
