I believe this template needs a major rework. First and foremost, I think it should be split into three parts: 1900s to 1930s, 1940s to 1970s and 1980s to present. This to make sure that each template covers no more than 40 years, to allow for higher detail in displaying when each model started and ended production.
Rolls-Royce Motors was a British luxury car manufacturer, created in 1973 during the de-merger of the Rolls-Royce automotive business from the nationalised Rolls-Royce Limited. It produced luxury cars under the Rolls-Royce and Bentley brands. Vickers acquired the company in 1980 and sold it to Volkswagen in 1998.

Rolls-Royce Limited was a British luxury car and later an aero-engine manufacturing business established in 1904 in Manchester by the partnership of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. Building on Royce's good reputation established with his cranes, they quickly developed a reputation for superior engineering by manufacturing luxury cars.
The original car company was a spin-off of the main Rolls-Royce plc (which Rolls-Royce Holdings operates through today). It was spun off in 1980 as Rolls-Royce Motors from Rolls-Royce Limited (now Rolls-Royce plc) This is grossly misrepresentative of the full history of the company.
