Moore is a former settlement along a railway station on the Boyne City Railroad. The Moore station served as a connector route to the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad about 0.25 miles (0.40 km) to the east in Boyne Falls. Cushman, Doyle's Siding, and Moore appear on a 1911 map of Charlevoix County.
