Catholic Theological Union (CTU) is a Catholic graduate school of theology in Chicago, Illinois. It is one of the largest Catholic graduate schools of theology in the English-speaking world and trains men and women for lay and ordained ministry within the Catholic Church. [5] CTU is run and staffed by religious and lay men and women.
The School of Theology and Religious Studies is one of the twelve schools at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., [1] and one of the three ecclesiastical schools at the university, together with the School of Canon Law and the School of Philosophy.
The scholarly work of the school is organized through the work of three faculty committees, each of which is further subdivided into areas of study. PhD students concentrate their work in one of the eleven areas of study. Students in the various master's programs combine study in these areas with courses specific to their programs.
