Bangladesh Badminton Federation is the national organization governing the sport of badminton in Bangladesh. As of 2017, Abdul Malek is the president of the federation. Md. Alamgir Hossain has been the general secretary since 2022, and Moshiur Rahman has been the chief executive officer since 2018.
Badminton was introduced to Bangladesh in the 1900s by the British. At the time, the sport was only played throughout urban areas. [ 2 ] In 1972, the Bangladesh Badminton Federation was formed and the sport started to gain popularity.
The Bangladesh International is an international badminton tournament held in Dhaka, Bangladesh and organized by the Bangladesh Badminton Federation. The tournament was established in June 2002 and was part of the Asian Satellite. [ 1 ]

Rithvik Sanjeevi (born 15 May 2003) is an Indian badminton player. [1] He has won titles like Odisha Masters , India International Challenge , and Telangana International Challenge. He was also the runner-up at the Bangladesh International Challenge.
Alina Begum won her first two national titles in Bangladesh in 1990. [2] Alina Begum won fourteen further titles until 2001. She was champion nine times in women's singles, six times in doubles and once in mixed doubles. [3] In 2004, Begum received a sports award for the year 2001 from the Bangladesh Sports Writers Association. [4]
