In the late 1920s, the Commissioners of Snyder County had plans for the construction of a bridge over Silver Creek near Port Trevorton. [11] A concrete slab bridge carrying Cawley Hill Road over Silver Creek was built in 1949 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Verdilla and is 22.0 feet (6.7 m) long.
