WikiProject Spoken Wikipedia aims to produce recordings of Wikipedia articles being read aloud. See the spoken articles for articles that have already been recorded, and the requests for instructions on how to request a recording of a particular article.

Change the language of user-interface messages. It does not affect articles and other pages made by editors. Note that many interface messages have been customized at the English Wikipedia but usually only for the default "en - English" which may for example add links to relevant help pages, processes and policies.

And the whole reason that Wikipedia works. Wikipedia has page histories. So every time you make a change to an article (or most other pages), the old version is still there too, and is almost as easily accessible to a reader or to another editor as the current version of the page. And so if you do something silly, someone else can easily undo it.
However, if you'd like to discuss a potential change first to get a second opinion or seek help, you can start a discussion on the talk page and then share a notice about it on a more popular page. To do this, first check out any associated WikiProjects listed at the top of the article's talk page.
