Azusa (Tongva: Azuksa, meaning "skunk") is a city in the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California, United States, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains and located 20 miles (32 km) east of downtown Los Angeles. Its population was 50,000 in 2020, an increase from 46,361 at the 2010 census. [7]
In 1928, the City completed construction of the two main wings of the civic center, with City Hall on one side and the municipal auditorium on the other. [2] In 1929, a nine-foot by fifteen-foot miniature of the new Azusa Civic Center, made largely out of plaster-of-paris, was displayed as Azusa's exhibit at the Los Angeles County Fair. [3]

Azusa Downtown station is an at-grade light rail station on the A Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located on Alameda Avenue, a block north of Foothill Boulevard , in Downtown Azusa , after which the station is named.
