The University of Virginia School of Nursing, established in 1901, [1] is a school of nursing education. It has an enrollment of approximately 800 students (roughly half undergraduate and half graduate students), and is consistently rated in the top 4% of U.S. nursing schools. [ 2 ]

Miss Cabaniss entered Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore and after graduation in 1893 held the position of night supervisor until 1894. At the time, the Medical College of Virginia was looking for a nurse to take charge of the operating room. The school contacted Johns Hopkins University requesting assistance in the search.
The Normal College joined Indiana University in 1941, and was renamed the School of Physical Education in 1972 to reflect the school's mission of training physical education teachers. [6] In 1994, the school expanded its focus to include IUPUI's military science program and the Department of Tourism, Conventions, and Event Management. [ 6 ]

Ball Annex matched the red-brick English Georgian style of Ball Residence Hall. In 1957, two floors were added to accommodate the growing number of nursing students in Indianapolis. The 3,000 volume School of Nursing Library was housed in the Ball Annex. The library moved to the Medical Science Building following its completion in 1959.
The building holds classroom and office space for the School of Philanthropy, School of Social Work, and the IU Foundation. [1] The groundbreaking ceremony took place in February 2014. The construction of the new University Hall would replace the old Administration Building, and, subsequently, its demolition. [2]
