Rania Al-Yassin was born on 31 August 1970 in Kuwait, to Palestinian parents. [3] Her father, Faisal Al-Yassin, was a Palestinian from Tulkarm in the West Bank. [4] In 1991 Rania's family was forced to flee Kuwait, along with thousands of other Palestinian refugees, and resettled in Amman, Jordan. [4]
