Harrel Gordon Tillman Sr. (January 18, 1925 - June 19, 1998) was an actor who became an ordained minister and moved to Houston Texas where he also became a lawyer and judge. He was the first African-American judge in Texas. [1] [2] Tillman was born January 18, 1923, in Wadesboro, North Carolina.

Sam Allen Lindsay (born October 16, 1951) [1] is an American attorney who serves as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, with chambers in Dallas, Texas.
Pittman was a judge on the State's 352nd District Court, based in Tarrant County. In 2017, he was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to be a justice of Texas's Second Court of Appeals. [3] [5] He served in that capacity until he was appointed a federal judge in 2019.
