Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth [a] is a 2024 role-playing video game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega.The game is the ninth mainline entry of the Like a Dragon series, serving as a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020) and the side-story Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (2023).

The game was conceived to expand further on Kiryu's backstory between the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and its 2024 sequel, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. As such, the story of the game follows from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life then merges with the storyline of Yakuza: Like a Dragon .
Yakuza 6 returns to having just a single protagonist – Kazuma Kiryu – and for a long while it seemed like it would be the last game to feature the leading man in the leading role.
Prior to Yakuza 2, Kashiwagi becomes the patriarch of the Kazama Family following Kazama's death. He is also the acting Captain of the Tojo Clan. He appears throughout the game, cooperating with Kiryu, Daigo Dojima, and Kaoru Sayama to solve the problems of the Tojo Clan and stop the Go-Ryu Clan and Jingweon Mafia.
Ichiban Kasuga (Japanese: 春日 一番, Hepburn: Kasuga Ichiban), also nicknamed Ichi (一), is a character from Sega's Ryu ga Gotoku media franchise, formerly known internationally as Yakuza. Ichiban is first introduced in the 2018 mobile game Ryu ga Gotoku ONLINE, a freemium collectible card game spin-off which is exclusively released in Japan.
Although Ichiban Kasuga replaces in Kiryu in Like a Dragon, Sega used him in such game as a minor character with an untold backstory in regards to his current whereabouts that is explained in Gaiden. Kiryu was not planned to return in those games but it was collective decision within the development team on reusing the character.
