Peter Yawger House is a historic home located at Union Springs in Cayuga County, New York. It was built in 1838–1840 in the Greek Revival style on the east shore of Cayuga Lake . It consists of a 1 + 1 ⁄ 2 -story, five-by-three-bay, brick gable-roofed main block, with a 1-story, gable-roofed kitchen wing.
Dismantling the Grand Union Hotel in Saratoga Springs, c. 1952. The Grand Union Hotel was sold to auctioneers George & Hyman Siegel for $400,000. That price included $100,000 for the furnishings and $300,000 for the real estate. The building was demolished little by little, from 1952 to 1953, on the 150th anniversary of the building of the hotel.
Charles Howland-William H. Chase House is a historic home located at Union Springs in Cayuga County, New York. It was built about 1840 and is a remarkably intact two-story, five-bay, center-hall limestone dwelling in the Greek Revival style. Attached to the main block is a large two-story rear wing creating an L-shaped house.
The house is prominent upon the west side New York State Route 90, with a 2021-posted historic marker honoring a John Irving who lived in the house 1907-13. Per the marker, he was a "schooner master and stonemason " who carved [quarried?] stone for early Cornell University buildings and the former Cornell library in Ithaca .
