The school was set up with the moral support of Singapore's Ministry of Education and financial support from the International Finance Corporation. With the rising enrolment and also to cater to the international community, the school was moved to a larger premises in January 1999 at Gandaria in South Jakarta.
While starting the school in 1995 the school consists of only 55 students in 2 divisions. Later it increased considerably and now the school have 84 classrooms with 3900 students and more than 100 teachers included in High school and Higher secondary department. [10] [11] [12]
