"Never Leave You (Uh Ooh, Uh Ooh)" is an R&B song written by Lumidee Cedeño, Teddy "Tedsmooth" Mendez and Eddie Perez, and features a prominent dancehall reggae riddim called "Diwali" written by Steven "Lenky" Marsden, [2] [3] although it is slightly altered from the original riddim.
It was also successful worldwide, reaching number two in the United Kingdom for two weeks (being the best selling non-new entry song twice), number one in Denmark, and number three in Australia, and remains Lyttle's biggest hit to date. The song was included on Billboard's "12 Best Dancehall & Reggaeton Choruses of the 21st Century" at number one.
"Ciao Adios" is a dancehall-inflected pop song. [1] [4] The song's lyrics refer to a girl who finds out that the guy she is dating is cheating on her, and thus she decides not to waste further time by leaving him: "Ciao, adios, I'm done"; [5] ciao and adiós are respectively the Italian and Spanish words for '(good)bye'.
