The PGA Tour Champions, the PGA Tour's circuit for golfers age 50 and older, has its own "Q-School". As of 2011, it involves two stages: [ 3 ] Regional Qualifying Stage: Three tournaments played over four rounds and held in late October, all in warm-weather locations in the United States.
The Q School was established in an attempt to streamline the qualification process for the World Snooker Tour. A series of play-offs are run every year before the season. Players pay a fixed entry fee to enter the play-off events, and there is no prize money. Qualifiers earn a two-year tour card on the Main Tour. [1]
The World Snooker Tour in the 2024–25 season initially consisted of 127 professional players, but dropped to 126 after Michael White had his WPBSA membership revoked. The tour includes the top 64 players from the prize money rankings after the 2024 World Championship and 31 players who earned a two-year card the previous year.
