According to ATA (Archery Trade Association) 2020 data, 13% of the US population ages 13+ participated in archery in the past year, which sounds like 2019. The 13% breaks down as: Recreational archery: 7% Bowhunting: 4% Competitive archery: 2%. That means that bowhunting only represents 4% out of 13%.

I was recently sent a PM asking about the book Total Archery, Inside the Archer by Kisik Lee and Tyler Benner. This book describes the KSL Method that I am learning and has been occasionally referenced in form threads on TradTalk. I had used various chapters that I found on-line but had not actually bought, and read, the book.
I have never tried tuning an aluminum arrow, I had shot them with a vintage Browning Nomad Deluxe compound and simply tuned the bow instead of the arrow, I have some 2018 xx75 that were cut to overdraw length and they're too short for my traditional bows, you will probably need the full length for 340 spune w/150 gr tips, otherwise you could try a test tip kit three rivers has them in 100-250 ...

for instance. i shoot 3 under for all distances up to 25yds, with 3rd digit to incisor tooth (point on at 25 or stringwalk up close. at 30yds i switch to split finger 3rd finger to eye tooth ( point on) at 40 the same as above and stack the thickness of my arrow. at 45 i shoot split finger 2nd digit to corner of mouth ( point on)

The limbs are medium Dryad Epic static recurve limbs marked 50 pounds at 28 inches on a 19 inch riser. The limbs are being used on a 23 inch blackout Excel.

I usually use 0.14 Halo because it is very rugged and I had trouble with end servings wearing out on some custom strings I had made for me. Halo fixed the problem, and I continued to use it when I started making ...
