Bmw, F450 GS, Featured. 52. BMW has a problem with its adventure bike lineup: Its bigger bikes are too big for many riders’ liking, but its small bikes are too small. There’s a huge jump between the G310 GS and the F900 GS, let alone the R1300 series. So, the Germans appear to be planning a solution; they’ve just released a teaser for an ...
11/6/2024. Bmw, F450 GS, Photos. 10. If there was a theme to EICMA’s new adventure bike models this year, it would be: bigger isn’t always better. Several OEMs introduced new machines or teased upcoming models built with engines under 500 cc displacement. BMW’s new F450 GS concept bike is one of the most interesting of these machines.
Whatever you want to call it, BMW announces they’ve just overhauled the C400 GT for 2025. From their PR, it seems the engine is the same going forward. The liquid-cooled single-cylinder is EU5+ homologated, with CVT gearbox, making 34 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 26 pound-feet of torque at 5,750 rpm. The main updates for 2025 are electro-features.
The Bell MX-9 Adventure has polycarbonate ABS shell (three shell sizes available, for a more lightweight fit). The polycarbonate is heavier than fibreglass or other, more exotic materials—and also less expensive. There’s a removable/washable interior liner, as you’d expect. There are 2 screws to attach the bracket to the bike frame and then cable is just looped around under the seat. Remove the seat, feed the cable through the helmet, attach cable to the bracket and put the seat back on = helmet locked. #13. FBarrera likes this. Jerm21, May 22, 2020. #14.
439. Location: Tampa, FL. Currently comparing a 2013 GS LC vs a 2013 90th Anniversary GSA. I was wondering if a helmet fits in the BMW aluminum GSA panniers. That is crucial for me. I checked the GS LC, and boy!- have they really cut the usable space out of the muffler side pannier! Even expanded it's small, and the new can is narrower.
Today I've just used the helmet - since purchase a few days ago - for slightly over a 1000km and thought, as the helmet is new on the market and I guess interest is pretty high, to put in writing my review of the E1. I ride a BMW R1150GS Adventure bike with the stock / standard wind shield and a low-height seat.
The Arai is almost perfect; the Shoei is medium oval but pretty nice. A Shuberth is made to fit a bowling ball and is awful on my head. Bell helmets likewise. I learned that the best way to test fit a helmet is to remove the check pads and get a feel for the crown fit first.
May 5, 2006. Oddometer: 569. Location: Norway. You'l get what you pay for, Airoh is more like a "cheap" MX helmet with a visor that is just there to protect your eyes. It's leaking like hell and doesn't "fit" the helmet at all. BMW on the other hand is very comfy, and the viser fits right on spot. (Actually, it could have been a little ticker)
