Kingdom of the Spiders is a 1977 American science fiction horror film directed by John "Bud" Cardos and produced by Igo Kantor and Jeffrey M. Sneller. The screenplay is credited to Richard Robinson and Alan Caillou , from an original story by Sneller and Stephen Lodge .
She was mostly recognized as Alice Grant, the long-suffering mother of Heather Grant Webber on the long-running daytime drama General Hospital from 1978-1983. She also appeared in feature films, most notably Truck Stop Women (1974), Kingdom of the Spiders (1977), [4] and Point of No Return (1993), after which she retired from acting.
Planet of the Spiders is the fifth and final serial of the 11th season of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in six weekly parts on BBC1 from 4 May to 8 June 1974.
Empire of the Ants is a 1977 science fiction horror film co-written and directed by Bert I. Gordon. [3] Based very loosely on the 1905 short story "Empire of the Ants" by H. G. Wells, the film involves a group of prospective land buyers led by a land developer, pitted against large mutated ants.
Shatner earned five Best Actor nominations: the first for Kingdom of the Spiders, the four other for the first four Star Trek films. He won the award for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and also earned The Life Career Award in 1980. In 2011, he was given made an honorary Doctor of Letters by McGill University, his alma mater. [1]
