The Booth Brothers is an American southern gospel vocal trio. It was originally formed in 1957 by four brothers but disbanded in 1963. It was reformed in 1990 by one of the original members, Ron Booth, with two of his sons, Michael and Ronnie Booth. [1]
Bill Gaither was born in Alexandria, Indiana, in 1936 to George and Lela Gaither.He formed his first group the Bill Gaither Trio (consisting of Bill, his sister Mary Ann (1945–2018), [1] and brother Danny Gaither (1938–2001) in 1956 while a college student at Anderson College, to which he had transferred after one year at Taylor University.
On February 19, 1992, the Gaither Vocal Band had just wrapped up a recording session in a Nashville, Tennessee, working on an album called Homecoming, which featured many of the great voices of southern gospel music: The Speers, The Gatlins, Jake Hess, The Cathedrals, Howard & Vestal Goodman, Buck Rambo, Eva Mae Lefevre, James Blackwood, Hovie Lister, Jim Hill, and J.D. Sumner & The Stamps.

Benson Records was founded by Bob Benson and John T. Benson, who formed the John T. Benson Music Publishing Company in 1902. [1] The record label started out as Heart Warming Records, creating house labels such as Impact Records, Greentree Records, RiverSong, StarSong, Power Discs and Home Sweet Home.
This led to the band signing with Brentwood Music, with whom the band recorded several albums. The first, Bluegrass Gospel At Its Finest , was a hymns album. The band's second album, Seed of Love , featured a number of songs penned by Mosley including the title cut, "With His Hands In Wood", and "On His Knees".
By 1957, The Gaither Trio—consisting of siblings Bill, Danny, and Mary Ann—was singing at churches and religious events. In 1962, Danny graduated from college and went to Ohio to teach. [ 1 ] His move brought about a change in the trio, as Gloria began "singing with the trio in the place of Dan."
