Hyde Park is located on the eastern side of Cincinnati, approximately six miles away from the Central Business District. Much of the neighborhood is situated between Interstate 71 and the Ohio River. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of East Walnut Hills, Evanston, Mt. Lookout, O'Bryonville, Oakley, and the City of Norwood.

Cincinnati West is located 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) east of Harrison's central business district and about 15 nautical miles (28 km) northwest of Downtown Cincinnati. It can be accessed from Interstate 74.
The route then follows Colerain Avenue, ascending through the Mount Airy Forest from an elevation of 490 to 930 feet (150 to 280 m) in two miles (3.2 km), passing the Cincinnati Water Tanks on North Bend Road.
