Blythe (/ ˈ b l aɪ θ /) is a city in eastern Riverside County, California, United States. It is in the Palo Verde Valley of the Lower Colorado River Valley region, an agricultural area and part of the Colorado Desert along the Colorado River , approximately 224 miles (360 km) east of Los Angeles and 150 miles (240 km) west of Phoenix .

Blythe is a city, mostly in Richmond County and partly in Burke County, [4] in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2020 census , the city had a population of 744. It is part of the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area .
The name Bly comes from the Klamath word p'lai, meaning 'up' or 'high', referring to its location at the upper Sprague River. [9] The Sprague River post office was established in the area in 1873, and the name was changed to Bly in 1883. [9]

The majority of the Blythe geoglyphs are located 16 miles (26 km) north of Blythe, California, off Highway 95, at the Interstate 10 exit and down several dirt roads for 15.5 miles (24.9 km).
